In January, 2003, Bernard Hardy’s home and studio in Cotter Road, Weston was destroyed by the fires that hit Canberra that year.
Returning to assess the damage – total, Bernard , ever the artist, painter this burnt out wreckage which he titled Cotter Road.
Bernard’s exhibition, Unseen works, has been enjoyed by his many friends, colleagues, students and family since the opening at Helen Stephens Gallery on February 14.
Unseen works which is a selection of post fire paintings and sculptures – small abstracts and larger figurative paintings - will close this Sunday, March 28. It is not to be missed.
